Emmalani grew up with a love for makeup since she was a child—from playing with her mom's lipstick as a toddler and being fascinated by sfx from the show Face-Off when it first aired on tv. 

Since graduating from college at Arizona State University, she moved to Japan in 2018 as an English teacher to Japanese youth and has become fluent in Japanese.  While living there, her passion for effects and makeup deepened and decided to moved back to Southern California in 2021 to pursue a career in makeup, effects, and all things creative in the beauty and film industry.

Emmalani has attended Make-Up Designory in Burbank and is currently working for herself freelancing with skincare and beauty brands as well as working on set helping directors and other creatives bring their vision to life.
